Making A Purchase – Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. Please note that all prices quoted include VAT at 20 percent.
We accept all major cards via PayPal. Notwithstanding the first paragraph above, If you are shopping from outside of the UK, your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.
When your confirmation of order is received, it is to indicate that we have received the order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case of an unscheduled manufacturers price increase, errors & omissions on our part, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product due to manufacturing or supply issues. If there is a variance in your order, we will contact you first to ensure that any change is acceptable. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of Products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including Product Descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. If you receive the order not as advertised Stokes Of Henfield will collect and refund with immediate effect at no cost to the buyer.
If there are products you may wish to purchase which cannot be found in our store, please don’t hesitate to contact us either by phone or e-mail, when we will endeavour to source them for you.
For large or complicated orders, we would prefer to discuss your requirements first. When delivery schedules, large order discounts can be arranged.
Returns Policy – Goods are not supplied on a ‘Sale or Return’ basis.
If you receive your order in good condition, but you consider any item to be unsuitable, you may return it for a refund provided that you do so within 30 days of receipt and the item is returned in an unused, original condition and in the original packaging, you will be liable for the cost of the return. We reserve the right to refund the cost of the goods minus the cost of shipping.
Box damage & Food waste – From time to time, we occasionally get items that may have some items with cosmetic damage to the outer boxes. We will ship items if a box can be repaired and only if food is still sealed with internal packaging intact with no damage. However if you are still unsatisfied we are more than happy to collect and offer a full refund.
Dates Disclaimer – We aim to ship all items with reasonable shelf life. 2-12+ months, if you would like to purchase and are concerned of dates, please get in touch, and we will be happy to give you dates on items before purchase. Items purchased that are considered short dates will be reviewed case for case if a refund request is made after purchase. All date discrepancies must be reported within 24 hours of receipt.
Offers Section – The offers section will contain items displaying a Best Before End (BBE) dated badge. These items can be sold and eaten after the BBE date. The BBE item overtime may start to lose its taste and texture. Please see The UK’s Food Standards Agency for more information and regulatory guidance. Expiry dates should not be sold or eaten after expiry date.
Tax Charges – For orders made from the UK, prices quoted now include VAT.
Cancel Order: If you wish to cancel your order after placing it, just call or email with your order id, and we will be happy to cancel the order.
Refunds & Returns: If you wish to send back your item as you are not happy we are happy to refund you. Please note, if you have purchased an item with free shipping, we reserve the right to refund the cost of the goods minus the cost of shipping.
Shortages – Shortages must be reported within 24 hours of receiving the order. Failure to do so will result in a no claim on any missing goods.
Damages, Claims & Missing Items: If you receive your order damaged, you must sign for the item as “DAMAGED“. Please provide a photo of the whole box clearly showing the label and address. We also require photographic evidence of the item(s) claimed for clearly showing damage to external packaging, internal packaging, parcel label on item and damage to the item. Failure to do so will result in us not being able to refund or replace items. Please note DPD requests for “leave in a safe place” void claims of missing or damaged items.
Credit Card Security – PayPal uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Furthermore, their public web servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority, ensuring that both the shopper and retailer can have confidence that nobody can impersonate PayPal to obtain confidential information.
Cancellation Fee – We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if you the (customer) wish to cancel.
Privacy Policy – Stokes of Henfield do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to ‘Tools | Internet Options | Privacy’ and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.
Cookies we have no control over are those used by PayPal and hosting company Sqarespace.

Any used items are non refundable.
In these circumstances, a restocking charge of £25.00 or 20 percent of the value of the items being returned (whichever is highest) may be deducted from the credit for the returned goods.
All returns must have a returns number (RMA), obtainable from us on 01273 492032 or stokes@aerco.co.uk. If goods are returned without an RMA, they will be refused and returned to you at your cost.
Important: For items which do not appear in any of our publications or website and have been specially ordered, we will only accept returns if the goods are defective and returned with 14 days of delivery
Refunds & Returns: If you wish to send back your item as you are not happy we are happy to refund you. Please note, if you have purchased an item with free shipping, we reserve the right to refund the cost of the goods minus the cost of shipping of our standard flat rate.
Damaged items – On receipt of your order, if the package is visibly damaged, you must mark ‘box damaged’ on the courier’s delivery record, before inspecting the contents yourself. Damages must be notified to Stokes of Henfield, 01273 492032 or stokes@aerco.co.uk within 48 hours of receipt in order to obtain a credit or replacement. Claims for damage in transit will not be considered after this period or for damaged boxes which are not signed for as such.
Shortages – Upon receipt of order, please inspect the contents of all packages. Shortages must be notified to Stokes of Henfield, 01273 492032 or stokes@aerco.co.uk within 48 hours of receipt in order to obtain a credit or replacement. Claims for shortages will not be considered after this period.

Shipping And Handling – There is a standard delivery charge to UK Mainland addresses of £5.50 ex VAT Particularly heavy items we reserve the right to apply a surcharge.
Mainland UK delivery is next working day. We aim to process all orders within 7 days*. Our working days our Mon – Fri, (9AM – 4 PM) *times may be delayed if stock is unavailable, please email to check stock levels if urgent.
Shipping Cost Breakdown – Shipping costs include, next day tracked shipping via text and email. Packing materials to maximise protection of goods.
Delivery – All UK orders are on average dispatched and delivered within 1-2 working days, earlier if at all possible. Please contact in advance for transit times before placing orders to avoid disappointment.

Deliveries – Deliveries are dispatched via DPD Local using their Track + Trace Next Working Day service, At the time of dispatch, an SMS or e-mail will be sent, by DPD (using the supplied mobile number / e-mail address) detailing timed delivery details and tracking information.
Large orders – Large orders or particularly heavy items, may also be subject to additional charges, but these will only be applied following full discussion. Large orders can be shipped via Pallet if necessary and could be more cost effective.
Shipping Destinations – Stokes of Henfield will now only ship across the UK, until a Brexit deal has been confirmed. We thank all our customers outside the UK for their support and hope to be able to offer shipping outside the UK very soon. (Shipping rates may vary).
